Deep Blue Sunday School
2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th Sundays
(see article below about 1st Sundays)
Beginning September 17, 2017
9:15-10:15 am
Ages 3 yrs - 5th grade
Please attend Fall Welcome Whirl on Sunday September 10 to register your child

Dive Deep into the Bible and learn about God's love! Deep Blue. We will have adventures, learn exciting stories, do science experiments, arts and crafts, animated video storytelling, active games, and Children's Choir - all combined into a faith experience that help children discover what it means to be a disciple of Jesus today!

Families can also engage with extra fun using the Deep Blue Adventures app - free on your phone's app store. App content is updated and has games and a Parent Connection with a quick bullet point of what your child is learning this week. It also has a connection to this week's video so if you missed Sunday school you can watch this and learn together before bed, between activities, or watch the weekly video in the car (3 minutes) then talk about it while driving home.  Let's Go Deep Blue!

Children First Worship
October 1 and November 5, 2017
Mark your calendar for these dates when children and youth will try out a variety of worship leadership roles. These young people are our future church leaders. If you are interested in leading a prayer, reading Scripture, or greeting with your family please indicate your interest at the Whirl Welcome station or    e-mail Marcia at mhenningson@richfieldumc.org

Options for Families with Young Children on Sundays
You are welcome here and encouraged to try the many options available for families with young children. We would love for you to fill a bag with items from the Art Cart in the Nook to bring to worship, utilize the Nook space for a quiet moment, and we welcome parents to sit in the pew bordering Sacred Ground and allow your children to experience worship in the way that young children do. In Sacred Ground, the front of the pulpit side, children can see the musicians, pastor, and all that goes on better as well as engaging with quiet activities to help you worship as a family. While children are always welcome in worship. we do offer a staffed nursery during the worship service for ages birth though age 5. This is located on the lower level. An usher can show you the way. Nursing mothers have a room located off the church library reserved for them before, during, and after worship times.
